Apple will debut wearable device with iPhone on September 9

A new report is saying that Apple will debut a wearable device on September 9 alongside the iPhone, but the question is, will it be the iWatch? Recode has reported that two new iPhones will be showcased as well as some kind of wearable device. Typically Apple announces new iPads and Mac computers in October, and some people thought maybe a wearable would be announced then. If Apple officials do show off a whole new product line with the iPhone, it will be a departure from typical product announcements. An iWatch or other wearable device will be the first time Apple has introduced a new product line since the iPad in 2010.

Recode says that the new device will use HomeKit and HealthKit platforms, which are designed to make it easier for app developers to work fitness apps and smart home devices into the iOS system.

Rumors have been going around for years about a potential iWatch being developed, but no one at Apple has ever confirmed its product plans. It is quite possible that Apple is developing more than one wearable device; the only thing to do is wait and see what September 9th brings.
