In May, VP of Apple, Eddy Cue, talked about a “massive lineup” coming out soon. He said “…we’ve got the best product pipeline that I’ve seen in my 25 years at Apple.”Here's what we could expect before 2015: two new iPhones, one measuring 4.7 inches and one at 5.5 inches; a wearable device, possibly the iWatch; refreshed iPad air and iPad mini; a giant iPad with a 12.9-inch screen; a new MacBook, possibly a 12-inch MacBook Air with Retina display; and possibly a remake of the Apple TV.
Currently the largest iPhone, the 5S, has only a 4-inch display so even a jump to 4.7 would be quite considerable. The 5.5-inch display would be just a tiny bit smaller than the Galaxy S5 and LG G3. Some users might find the 5.5-inch display too large, especially women with smaller hands, so the 4.7-inch will be a good option. Hopefully Apple keeps two sizes available for those who prefer the choice.
On Wednesday we reported that Apple will debut some kind of wearable device on September 9. No one is sure yet if that will be the long-awaited iWatch or some other device. We will have to wait and see.
The new iPad and iPad mini, which will be announced later this fall, are likely to look the same but might feature the Touch ID sensor like the iPhone 5S. They may also have a new type of screen.
A new Apple TV is only a possibility because of goings-on with Time Warner Cable, which might be getting bought out by Comcast.
