The Canadian market is getting excited and gearing up for the big launch of the Apple Watch, which is set to hit stores on April 24. The device will be priced at $449 and the thought is that the apps available on the device will be what helps to drive sales. This was the case with the 2007 release of the iPhone. According to a report by Financial Post, it will be unique and exclusive apps and features that can really push consumers into wanting the watch.
You won't hear or read anything about the upcoming apps however as third-party developers aren't sharing any of their plans. "There are a lot of things we can't say yet, but we're very excited about the Apple Watch," said Jake Sion, who is the lead of strategy and development for Transit App, a Montreal-based app developer. Even though no plans are being divulged by developers there is certainly no shortage of interest from them. It seems as though plenty are lining up to offer exclusive apps that will help to transform the watch and make it not only useful but be seen as a must-have item.
