Netflix Rank: #45 on the Top 100 Free iPhone Apps List as of July 18th For: iPhone, iPod touch, iPad Netflix proclaims to be the leading subscription company for providing affordable movies and TV episodes to your mobile or tablet with the best and cleanest streaming on offer. The problem is that Netflix, originally only available for U.S. customers, is now just available to a few extra European countries. This hardly makes it a global app as yet, but it is growing steadily as a brand. For the first month Netflix is free but there is a monthly cost thereafter – the cost depends on your desired subscription. The app was originally designed for the Kindle Fire, a tablet released to rival that of the iPad. Netflix members get an unlimited supply of movies and TV episodes which can be viewed on game consoles, blue-ray sets, TVs, phones, and tablets. Video is also now supported on the iPad’s new retina display screen, making this app that much more appealing to the tablet lover. Recent fixes include enhancements to the player interface, the ability to select audio language, and a general shape-up of the user interface. Searching “genres” is also a new theme, from children’s movies to documentaries to foreign films and a whole lot more. Customer reviews of the latest update rate better than average: 3+ stars. There are a few bugs, however, which Netflix has yet to get straight and these include movies not playing! If Netflix are as it describes itself - a world leading subscription service – then expect first class customer support. There are currently just over 17,000 3.5 star ratings from 5 so this app is powerful. There is probably no other app right now to rival this movie and TV viewing app for your iOS device.
