Paper by FiftyThree by FiftyThree, Inc. gives you a way to create and capture ideas on your iPad.
What's great about this app is the pure simplicity of it. The screen isn't covered in options and buttons; it's kept simple and sleek. You can create diagrams, sketches, illustrations, drawings, and notes. After you're finished you can go ahead and share them.
The app is free and you'll be able to do plenty with it but you can also buy additional tools if you like from the in-app store.
The app is meant to feel like a notebook or sketchpad, nothing more, nothing less. This means no settings or buttons to play with. To start just pick a tool and either write, sketch, draw, color, or outline.
Your movements are tracked thanks to the custom ink engine. The app features incredible Retina resolution on your iPad thanks to its 2048 x 1536 surface. That means you'll be able to see all the details of your creation when you use things like watercolor edge bleed and pencil texture.
More than just you will be able to enjoy your creations, as you can send them by email, share pages on Twitter or Facebook, or stream pages to Tumblr.
Paper by FiftyThree was updated on Jan. 29, 2013 and has 181 customer ratings with an average rating of four out of five stars.
I really enjoyed the sheer ease of use with this app. Sometimes bells and whistles just aren't necessary and in this case there is no need for them.
For: iPad with iOS 5.0 or later
