Introduction
This is a very handy medical tool which has been fully approved by an eye doctor, providing you with a quick color blindness test that you can take from any location. It allows you to determine the extent to which you are color deficient so that you can take the necessary measures.
I’m pleased to say that I just ran through the test in this app and passed with flying colors!
This actually gives me a small amount of relief because I’m pretty severely short-sighted. I know I should wear glasses but I’ve broken both of my previous pairs within just a few weeks of getting them so I think I’m just too clumsy to benefit from having crystal clear vision.
At least I can take some solace from the fact that I’m seeing colors correctly!
Are You Colorblind?
There isn’t really a great deal of content in Colorblind Eye Exam as it is simply just an eye exam with a few minor features thrown in for good measure.
The test itself can be completed in under a minute, and consists of 24 cards which are displayed sequentially. Most of the cards display a number which is obscured by various shades of red and green. You are given four possible answers to choose from, with only one of them being correct.
You should also note that each card only gives you five seconds to answer, but don’t do what I did on the first run through and rush because you’ll just end up mis-tapping and skewing your results at the end!
Diagnose Your Dyschromatopsia
At the end of the exam, your results are displayed as a percentage score, and you’ll also be able to read some comments underneath which reflect the extent of your color blindness if you do happen to suffer from it.
There is also a Locate Specialists Now button which you can tap to use your device’s integrated GPS in order to determine your current location and find eye care specialists within your local area.
Furthermore, you’ll be pleased to know that you can share your test results with your friends and family online via Facebook, Twitter, email, and text. If you’re anything like me then this is a great chance to brag about your perfect test results!
