Animation or interactivity would definitely add a lot to the magazine, and would push the value even further.

You can also buy a subscription from within the app, basically giving you access to two issues a year, and this will set you back $6.99, saving you the amount of one dollar on a yearly bases.

The app is compatible with both iPad and iPhone, and without downloading any magazines, the app is just over 5 MB. This review is based on the Pilot version of the magazine, which doesn't contain interactivity. The other issues do have interactivity implemented, but this has not been tested.
