I’m a big fan of the developments that WSI Corporation put out because they are pretty much always to a very high standard with loads of features and special attention paid to smaller, specific regions of the country.

WJHL Radar is no exception to this rule, providing the residents of Johnson City with a range of great features to help with making a fair judgment of the weather any day of the week. This iPhone weather app definitely receives a very strong recommendation from me.

The first thing you’re likely to see when you first start using WJHL Radar is the Map section, which you can use to view the past and future of movement of rain, snow, and various other weather fronts as they make their way throughout Johnson City and the surrounding areas.

If you look at the bottom of this section you’ll also see that it includes a basic breakdown of the current temperature, humidity, and wind speed and direction. This is in addition to a simple graphical representation of the forecast for tomorrow.

If you need something with a bit more detail than this then I would suggest looking at the 10 Day section, which I would consider to be the meat and potatoes of this app. In here you’ll be able to see the high and low temperatures for each day, as well as the UV Index, chance of precipitation, and loads more.

For those of you who want a shorter-term forecast, the Hourly section includes a detailed breakdown of the coming 24-hour period, including much of the same information as the 10 Day section but with a little extra detail.

I’m a tad disappointed to see that WJHL Radar doesn’t include any video or blog content because this is often featured in similar apps; however, this is a very solid resource that definitely belongs on the iPhone and iPad of everyone in Johnson City.

WJHL Radar certainly isn’t without its shortcomings, but it still does an awesome job and should serve you guys very well.
