Weather Kitty app review: brighten up even the grayest of days with cute kitty-filled weather forecasts

Introduction

Boisterous tabbies and cheeky gingers will have you squirming at the amount of cuteness contained within this app, combining a solid set of weather forecasting tools with the ability to share reports with friends and family online via Facebook and Twitter.

Being the softie that I am, I jumped at the chance to get hold of this app and take it for a spin. Cat lovers and animal lovers in general will absolutely love Weather Kitty as it provides a basic rundown of the weather for the coming week alongside the current conditions…and of course, loads of cute kitties to melt your heart!

Weather Pawcasting at its Best!

As a cat lover, I’m probably a little biased in saying this is my all-time favorite weather forecasting app. Okay, that might be somewhat of an exaggeration because this isn’t the most fully-featured weather app in the App Store, but I still love it nonetheless!

You can either use Location Services to determine your current location and get a quick forecast for your area or you can save multiple locations and switch between them instantly by swiping left and right. Just watch each different kitty that appears for each of your locations!

Lions and Tigers and Kitties, Oh My!

I like the way the developer has capitalized on the kitty concept by adding optional in-app purchases for people who want even more cats. I mention this because it doesn’t hinder the weather forecasting by limiting functionality to ‘Pro’ versions, and I’ve come across a few weather apps which only let you save one or two locations, which is not the case here.

All in all, this is a great app that is wonderfully presented and which runs smoothly and reliably.

Oh, and did I already mention the ridiculously cute kitties? I did? Oh well, check them out!

A Great Purrformance

You may have heard of the Weather Puppy app by now but here is the feline equivalent, and it definitely doesn’t disa-paw-nt!

I thought I’d have some fun writing this review but I need to keep a reign on the amount of cat-related puns I put in here so I’ll try to limit it to every other purragraph…or not!

In all seriousness, this is a great app which has clearly been developed as a labor of love rather than a shallow development based around capitalizing on in-app purchases.

The weather forecasting aspect is more than adequate to give you a basic overview of what sort of conditions you can expect over the coming several days, so even disregarding the super duper cuteness factor, Weather Kitty definitely holds its own as a weather app. It's well worth checking out on that basis alone.

Okay, who cares about the weather? I just want it for the kitties!
