Introduction
This cleverly titled app provides a great way of being able to expand your vocabulary without having to carry around a thesaurus or dictionary, or having to search the Internet for definitions or alternative words. Plus, you’ll also enjoy being able to adjust the color scheme of the user interface to add a touch of style to your word searches.
As a writer, I’m always looking for new ways to grow my vocabulary by learning what new words mean or simply finding synonyms to make my pieces a little more flowery and interesting for readers. FreeSaurus works very smoothly and is a really handy way for me to quickly search for new words or double check my understanding of certain phrases while I’m reviewing apps.
Quicktionary
The concept of this app is nice and simple, and is intended to be used as a quick go-to point of reference for anyone stuck on the definition of a word or perhaps looking to swap around a few words or phrases with synonyms or somewhat similar words.
Given the basic idea behind FreeSaurus, the functionality is very simple and straightforward, which I think is a good thing. The last thing I want to see when I’m quickly trying to define a word is a load of flamboyant visual motifs and unnecessary features cluttering up the interface.
Features
One feature I actually think is pretty clever is that when you view the list of possible alternatives for a word, you’ll be presented with synonyms but you can also see words which are categorized as being related or similar.
In using this feature, I also learnt a new word, "antonym," which basically has the opposite meaning of the word "synonym," so I suppose that makes "antonym" antonymous to "synonym." Are you confused yet?
In all seriousness, FreeSaurus works very well for me and is definitely worth downloading if you’re looking for an app of this kind.

As I mentioned, I’m always looking to expand my vocabulary wherever possible, and I’m pretty excited to start implementing FreeSaurus as a way of learning at least one new word every day.

So it’s thanks to guys like the developer of FreeSaurus that you wonderful folks get to enjoy my rather animated app reviews!
Not to turn this review into a personal biography; my point is simply that this is a wonderful free app which will help you to exercise your brain a little, which I really think is something that will benefit everyone regardless of the line of work they’re in.
