GUARDIAN ALERTS, the best iPhone family locator app, is now FREE and will likely stay that way. When originally reviewed favorably, on AppPicker, Guardian Alerts was on sale for 99 cents. Last week, version 3.0 was approved and went live. Unlike all other "family locator" apps, we value the privacy of the family to the extent that to use Guardian Alerts there is no registration or subscription involved.
All of our features are free to use and there are no limits in any way. Alert recipients do not need to install Guardian Alerts on their phones because all Alerts are sent as text messages and/or emails. Our accuracy and reliability can't be beat. We know because we have tried the other family locator or child tracker apps and found ours to be much superior and always free to use.
We are appalled at the way the other apps of this type don't disclose their true cost.
Guardian Alerts will be ad supported through ads included in the Alert messages such as "Johnny arrived at Home (3:47PM) Click for as special offer from Acme". There will not be any ads included in the app that the children will see.
Guardian Alerts will also be reserving 10% of the ads for children & family focused charities to get out their messages for free. At least 10% of our profits will be donated to such charities as Boys & Girls Clubs, Hunger Task Force and others.
Guardian Alerts is also the safest locator app to use. You can only make changes when you have the phone, being tracked, in hand. And we do not receive location GPS on our servers. We only know that a person called "Johnny" arrived at or left a location named "School" or "Home". We don't know where those locations are.
Guardian Alerts is the only app that we know of that can send alerts even when the iPhone is being turned off and then when it is turned on again, as well as where the iPhone was when the battery died.
