I really do think this is a fantastic idea for an app, and I’m surprised that no one has thought of such a concept sooner!

Being able to get the opinions of people on everyday matters is awesome, and being able to achieve this in a social media format just makes the whole experience that much more convenient and enjoyable overall.

One of the things I found very pleasing about this app immediately upon opening it up for the first time was the fact that you can sign up within a matter of seconds by using your Facebook or Twitter account.

I’m always happy to see the developer take the initiative with this sort of thing as I think it really shows that they have their thumb on the pulse of what users really want, which is often simply a convenient user-experience. If you don’t use social networking sites, don’t worry, as you can still register.

Once you’ve signed up, you’ll be prompted to find or invite your friends to use askem via Facebook, Twitter, or email, after which you’ll be asked a handful of basic questions to help demonstrate the layout of the interface and enable the app to get to know you a little better.

At this point, you can either ask your first question or take a look at your feed. If you’ve only just signed up for askem then I imagine your feed will probably be somewhat lacking in content, so I’d suggest posing a question to your friends to really get the ball rolling and see what askem has on offer.

You can type your own question and then add possible answers which appear as bubbles hovering over your image. These bubbles can be dragged around with pinpoints leading to various elements within your picture, so this is a great way of drawing attention to items in your photos.
