Pregnancy • Sprout • Lite app review: the highest-rated pregnancy app for moms and moms-to-be 2021

Reviews

Introduction

This is a fantastic app for expecting mothers which enables you to learn all about your baby at various stages in their development while also receiving fantastic health-boosting hints and tips courtesy of the dedicated “The Doc Says” section.

The best iPad apps for pregnancy

This pregnancy app offers a lot of the same tracking functionality as other comparable apps within this genre, but the extent of the features definitely doesn’t stop there.

You’ll also be able to read expert advice and view some incredible imagery shot within the womb to reflect your baby’s current level of development.

Let's take a closer look at this app's features in our Pregnancy Sprout app review. When you are done reading it, let us know if you think this is one of the best pregnancy apps for iPhone users.

The Size of a Peanut!

When you first start using Pregnancy • Sprout • Lite, you’ll be prompted to input some information about your baby, including the sex if you know it, and your due date or last period. This enables the app to begin immediately providing relevant information to your pregnancy.

Once you’ve got everything set up and you’re ready to go, you’ll be presented with the My Baby section which will show high-quality computer-generated imagery, providing an in utero view of the embryo growing within you so that you can get a week-by-week update of what he or she looks like.

There are points on the images that you can tap to receive specific information, such as how many times per minute your baby’s heart is beating, what level of development her brain has reached, and what the overall size of the embryo is any given stage.

Organize Your Pregnancy and Childbirth

There is a section entitled “The Doc Says” which also works on a weekly basis, providing you with helpful hints and tips to enable you to optimize your health and the health of your little one. This section also contains The Daily Kick which will provide even more insight.

The Organiser [sic] section could quite easily be released as a standalone app, and I’m very impressed by the features that the developer has compiled in here. You’ll find treats such as a Doctor Visit Planner, a To Do list creator, and customizable checklists of Newborn Essentials and for your Hospital Bag.

There are also handy tracking tools for monitoring your weight as well as the rather novel Kick Counter which is something that I’ve never seen before in an app of this kind. There is also a Contraction Timer which is very handy for knowing where exactly you are in your labor.
