Introduction
If you are already succumbing to the pressure of the oncoming SATs, and worried you won't get into the college of your choice, take a deep breath and download the The Official SAT Question of the Day app.
Each day you will be given a real question from the SAT for you to review, and attempt to answer multiple times. This can really take some of the pressure off, and let your parents know you are trying to make them proud.
Ninety Percent Of The Kids Are Smarter Than Me
So I launched The Official SAT Question of the Day; keep in mind I graduated high school ages ago, and I consider myself a pretty intelligent guy. The question it gave me, I literally stared at for 15 minutes blankly. Thankfully it's multiple choice and gives you the options to answer it. After three attempts I finally got it.
Sure they provide you with the Hint option at the bottom of the screen, but it was a math question so when I tapped Hint, the field that popped up was blank. I guess the app decided that if they provided you with the formula that would basically give you the answer, or my iPhone just wanted to mock me and see how smart I actually am. But once you get the question right the app explains the formula and how the answer is reached. This provides you with great insight for those tough questions that you are sweating, and provides you with a good base on where your weak points are.
Redemption Comes From Failure
Regardless of my personal failure Official SAT Question of the Day is a great way to prepare for the test. Not only do you have the option for today's question but you can go back and try every question for the past week. This way, even if you are a new user, or miss a day or two, you have the ability to catch up on what you've missed.
The interface and graphics are nothing to rave about, but the point of this app is to prepare you for one of the most incredibly boring tests you will ever face in your life. It's simple, straightforward, and an unflinching representation of what you are about to face with the test that is designed to shape your post-secondary future.

Final Thoughts
I know most of the kids reading this have been pouring over their SAT preparation book for months, or maybe you just tossed it under the bed and pull it out when your parents ask about it.
