Like most men I hate shopping. Well I shouldn't go that far; I just hate trying to wade through the zombie-like masses in the mall to find the two or three items I really want. Luckily the UO app is here.

Now I can get everything I need from Urban Outfitters without leaving the house. Heck I don't even have to put on pants or put down my cereal bowl and I can still get exactly what I want from this Urban Outfitters rewards app.

Getting started on this review took a lot longer than I expected, I got caught up ordering things and lost track of time. The layout and interface of the UO app creates a great rabbit hole for that. It's so easy to use with every item laid out perfectly for your viewing. You even check the details, user reviews, and in-store availability if you want.

But really, who wants to leave the house when you have a PayPal account and can shop from the couch? Not enough cash on your credit card or in your PayPal? Don't worry, you can save the items you want so when that money is there you can simply add them back into your Shopping Bag and make your purchase.

I will say this: make sure your purchase totals over $50, that way you won't incur the ten dollar shipping charge. When I first started looking through the app I found a really great t-shirt on sale for $19.99 but when I went to the checkout I noticed that the total, with shipping, was $29.99.

So I went back and ordered two other items that were on sale. Three shirts worked out to $59.97 (that included shipping), and there was no tax!

That's kind of a sweet deal, and speaking of deals, even the On Sale section is divided into specific categories so you can easily find the best deals that Urban Outfitters has to offer.

A little fun thing that Urban Outfitters has included in the UO app is the ability to sync your account to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. You may ask why, but the reason is you can compete in challenges and earn reward to use towards your purchases.

Simply tap Get Some in the menu and start competing; just syncing your UO profile to your social networking accounts gets you badges immediately.

The challenges are really very simple: if you buy shoes, check in when you're at a Urban Outfitters location, take a photo of yourself in the store or with your online purchase, and include the proper hashtag, it all earns you badges to use with future UO purchases.

Final Thoughts

Urban Outfitters have outdone themselves with the UO app. They have created an ultra-slick and fun shopping app with a lot of little extras that most apps like this don't have. More retail outlets should take notice and consider trying some of the things that UO has included here.

Now I have a few more things to order before my girlfriend gets home and finds our PayPal account empty and our credit cards maxed.
