The best iPhone and iPad apps for tracking flightsAlthough this isn’t the most original app for tracking flights that I’ve come across, the developer really has done a fantastic job of providing a reliable resource for travelers that not only looks great but actually gets the job done effectively.
I’m very pleased with what I’ve seen so far, so I would definitely recommend checking out Flight+ Free if you’re in the process of arranging your next trip. It's one of the better iPhone apps for flight tracking. Keep reading our Flight Free app review for more details on all that it has to offer.
Flight+ Free - Track Live Flights - Flight Board uses your device’s integrated GPS when you first start it up, and this helps when it comes to finding Nearby Airports and determining your current location for some of the other features.
The best iPhone apps for traveling-2021If you want to use this flight tracking app to track a flight, you can do this by tapping the plus icon in the top-right corner of the Flights section. From here, you can search for flights based on criteria such as date, departure and arrival airports, airline, and flight number.
Your search will then present a list of possible flights, enabling you to carefully keep track of your own. If you’re having trouble finding your flight, then you can always take the slightly longer way around by searching via the Airports or Airlines sections of the app.
The Airports section is very handy as it features a Nearby Airports option that will instantly show you all of the airports within a few hundred miles of your present location.
The best iPhone apps for booking flights-2021For each airport, you’ll be able to view an impressive amount of information, including things such as Departure and Arrival times, local Weather conditions, Terminal Maps, and even a Flight Map which displays all of the possible routes to and from that airport.
You can also view Airport Info and Airport Facts, which come complete with a basic overview of the history of the airport, as well as a high-resolution photograph and further information such as the average delay time you can expect.

Flight+ Free - Track Live Flights - Flight Board looks great, runs very smoothly on both the iPad and iPhone, and definitely delivers on all fronts.
You won’t find much in the way of hotel and local event information, but if you’re looking for a reliable source of information pertaining to all things flight- and airport-related, you really can’t go wrong with this little gem.
