Infect Them All 2: Zombies app review: be a zombie and infect the world!

Reviews

Introduction

I’ve always wanted to be a zombie for a day. I could just walk around, minding my own business, until I see a tasty human to put my teeth into and convert him to my side of the living spectrum.  Now I finally have the chance to become that zombie thanks to Infect Them All 2: Zombies by Magic Cube! You can call me Micky. Micky is the zombie you control at the start of the game where your goal is to infect or kill as many humans as possible within the least amount of time. Remember, infecting them means that they can help you infect other humans quicker, though the longer you bite them, the more health you get back, although you might kill them.

Gameplay

You have the choice out of two control methods, and both work very good. Since I’m into old school games, I play this game with the control stick, but the tilt gameplay works equally good. You simply guide your zombie towards humans and when they touch he will start chewing. Press the convert button and you will infect them and a few seconds later they will turn into a helpful zombie minion. While chewing on brains your power gauge will slowly fill and when it’s full you can use your special blood fountain move that makes Micky spit blood, damaging the humans!

Unlockables

You will slowly progress through the main game, converting humans and upgrading your skills, such as health, speed, power and your special skills. After a few levels you will unlock Tower mode, where you will combat against increasingly more annoying humans. You can also encounter special humans, and converting them will unlock them for you as a character, meaning you can use them in gameplay instead of Micky. Your enemies will get stronger as well, up until the moment you feel they’re overpowered, and on top of that they sometimes will have super powers too, which can take your zombie out in a few hits, so keep on sucking the brains!

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Play as a zombie!
  • Tons of unlockables
  • Two different control styles
  • Great gameplay

Cons

  • Some of the enemies are so hard, it’s almost unfair

Conclusion

Infect them All 2 makes me regret that I never found out about the first one. This game is addictive, fun to play, and has a clear learning and progression curve. The game claims to have more than 100 hours of gameplay, and I believe that without a doubt. The Tower levels are endless and you will be able to keep on going forever in survival mode. The game has funny and cute graphics and each human has his own zombie alter ego. The game supports retina graphics, is compatible with iPhone and iPad and is just over 43 MB in size. So if you, like me, have always wanted to be a zombie for a day, here’s your chance.
