Kick the Buddy: Second Kick Price: $0.99 For: iPhone, iPod touch,  iPad Kick the Buddy: Second Kick is available in the app store for just $0.99, and can easily be played on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch device.  Produced by Crustalli, the app is simple in design but unique in nature.  The home page of the app is a cardboard box, in which your "buddy" is placed.  Touch and drag your buddy to throw him around the box to accrue money, which is tracked in the upper right portion of the screen, underneath your Gold count. The "buddy" within the box moves with your device, depending on which way you tilt it.  Upon tapping the buddy, you can throw, spin, and whack him as many times as you deem fit.  Truthfully, it is an easy way to take out your frustrations via a harmless game.  You can opt to throw your buddy against the wall, spin him aimlessly, or stretch him out within the limits of the box.  Or, you can choose one of the various weapons that are available for purchase in the Stuff portion of the screen.  Access your Stuff stash by pulling down on the red ribbon that hangs from the upper left portion of the screen.  Weapons include boomerangs, blowgun, mace, longbow, a Desert Eagle, and others, all of which are available for purchase.  To use any of the following, simply tap on it and it will appear on screen next to your buddy; otherwise, you can tap the screen to use it. I wouldn't say that this app is much of a game as opposed to a way to harmlessly do damage to a rag doll.  It appears to be one of those apps for individuals who enjoy cartoon violence in heavy doses.  Though no blood is spilled, your buddy does appear to have bruises and bandages after being hit and beat up for an extensive amount of time.  Furthermore, if you feel ambitious enough, you can purchase clothing for your buddy or even replace his face with a picture of your own (or someone else's, for that matter).  Though not a productivity app, or really a game in the true sense of the word, Kick the Buddy: Second Kick is a harmless way to do damage to a rag doll with weapons normally not available to the masses.
