Yoga & Pilates with Kristin McGee app review: the award-winning “S3 Strong, Sexy, Svelte” now available on your mobile device

Reviews

Introduction

This is a great iPhone and iPad app adaptation of the ever popular S3 Strong, Sexy, Svelte approach to Yoga and Pilates. Work with Yoga and Fitness editor for Health Magazine, Kristin McGee, as she helps you transform your body and improve your health and well-being for the long haul!

The best yoga apps for the iPad

I should probably begin this review by pointing out that a large majority of the content contained within is subject to in-app purchases that you will have to pay for. There is a decent amount of free content to get you started, but I wouldn't expect it to last too long before you move on to some of the paid workouts.

Either way, this is a well-developed app that many of you are going to find highly instrumental in helping you get into better shape and stay there, so I would definitely recommend taking it for a test spin to see how you like it.

A Fun Introduction to Yoga and Pilates

In case you haven’t heard of Kristin McGee before, she is the Yoga and Fitness editor for Health Magazine and the Yoga ambassador to Fila.

She is also a regular contributor to publications such as Self, Fitness, Oxygen, Prevention, Cooking Light, and Women’s Health, and has even been featured as the cover model of PilatesStyle a number of times.

As if that wasn’t already enough, Kristin has also worked on more than 50 different fitness-related DVDs, so I think you can say with some confidence that Yoga & Pilates with Kristin McGee has had a lot of experience and expertise go into it!

Enjoy Working With Kristin McGee

Given her photogenic and friendly nature, she is the perfect figurehead for an app like this, and is especially well suited to those of us who are complete beginners in the realm of yoga and Pilates.

Best iphone and ipad apps

The workouts are split up into various categories based on what your goals are, and there is a fairly extensive collection of yoga poses that you can work through in various sequences to improve your flexibility, balance, and coordination.

This is undoubtedly a high-quality production with tons to offer, but if you are a beginner I would definitely recommend taking things nice and slow because even the gentlest of Yoga workouts can leave you sore for days; believe me, I’m talking from experience!
