File Manager (FREE) app review: a nifty file manager and virtual USB drive for your mobile device 2021

Reviews

Introduction

What we have here is a fairly run-of-the-mill file manager iOS app that you can use to access a multitude of file formats from your iPhone and iPad, in addition to creating digital backup copies via Dropbox and other cloud-based services.

The best file managers for iPhone and iPad

This is a pretty generic app for managing files on your iPhone, which definitely serves its purpose fairly well, thanks largely to its simplistic interface design and attractive overall presentation. I particularly like the way files are presented in folders with a thumbnail standing out beside the information.

With cloud support, an integrated PDF reader, and more, this iPhone file manager offers a very reasonable level of functionality for a free app, so it definitely receives a strong recommendation from me.

Manage Your Files With Ease and Efficiency

File Manager (FREE) has been designed to enable users to easily access all manner of file types while acting as a convenient storage medium and go-between for cloud-based services. This certainly isn’t the most original app of its kind but it definitely gets the job done.

As well as supporting MS Office documents, Apple iWorks documents, PDF documents, and more, this app also features an integrated music player that you can use with pretty much the same flexibility as the standard iOS Music widget.

In addition to this, you’ll also find some of the more usual features associated with this kind of development, including an integrated search engine, passcode protection of your data, and the ability to share your files with others online via Facebook, Bluetooth, and email.

Wi-Fi transfer and iTunes file sharing are also supported, so you’ll be able to easily move files back and forth between your computer and device whether you’re relying on an Internet connection or a USB cable.

Final Words

There isn’t really much more for me to say about File Manager (FREE). It is a simple app with a simple function, and I think the developer has done a great job of enabling users to essentially transform their iPhone and iPad into mobile storage devices.

Throwing cloud support into the mix just serves to further boost the freedom with which you can use this app, so moving files from your computer to your device to Dropbox (and back again!) is child’s play.

If you don’t want to spend money on any of the more flamboyant apps within this category then I think you’ll do just fine with this one.
