My Chinese Copybook app review: helping you write Chinese characters
Introduction
If your child is currently trying to learn how to write using Chinese characters then we've got an app that might be of some assistance. The My Chinese Copybook app can be used on your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone and is meant to help kids learn and perfect their handwriting. Chinese characters can take plenty of concentration and skill so this app gives them a way to learn about the strokes, the sequences, and even the space between the strokes.

Learn with Them
This is a great opportunity for parents to also take part in a learning activity with their children. Maybe you are learning for the first time or perhaps your knowledge has just gotten a bit rusty over the years. Both you and your child will be able to take away information from this app. Where children really can benefit with this app is that they are making all the strokes using their finger so there is no need to focus on holding a pencil correctly. This alone helps them focus and concentrate better.

Using the App
There are a number of different features and functions offered in this app. You are given a number of Chinese characters to learn and while writing them there are reminders given so that kids know what they need to be doing and in what direction. By the time kids finish with this program they will successfully be able to write each of the Chinese characters covered. This also gives them the confidence to then move forward and learn even more characters.
Best iphone and ipad appsThe app is set up as a little scrapbook that groups their work together. All of the work they do on each character is placed together so they can see their progress. There are daily accomplishments and they are given a stamp once they successfully write a character. If there are some errors with the character, perhaps one line is too short or too wavy, then they are given a silly stamp to show that there is still some work to be done. One last thing and that is that kids will be working within a time limit.
I really enjoy the user interface here, the characters are displayed nice and large which makes writing them that much easier. There is also cute background music and just a general upbeat feeling.
