Draw Something Free app review: a fun guessing game to play with friends
Draw Something Free
Rank: #63 on the Top 100 Free iPhone Apps List as of July 18th
For: iPhone, iPod touch, iPad
Once again this is an app which is free to download and use, but it will become quite costly when it comes to the in-app purchases (ranging from $2 to $25).
Draw something lets you...well...draw something, but it’s more a guessing game that you play with friends where you each get to guess what the other has drawn, and if you’re stumped you can simply blow it up.
The game is synced with Facebook and Twitter.
On a slight downer though, the latest version update 1.8.12 has, for some users, particularly iPad consumers, rendered the app virtually unplayable.
Reports like freezing in the “getting ready” start-up stage are bugs developers will need to fix if they want more favorable reviews.
So as of 1/8/12, download it by all means, but it may crash.
You can build up your coin collection by drawing as much as possible and taking as many turns as possible, and it’s a touch-based drawing application, so you can transform a stick man into something quite brilliantly creative.
Other features include the color craze with over 50 vibrant colors, the turn-based leader board, and game play interface excellent for the serious gamers who don’t want to wait 24 hours for their next turn.
Words get thrown at you in order to draw them, but if you’re particularly perplexed as to how to draw it you can bomb it and grab a new one.
You also get push notifications for when your opponent/partner has taken his or her turn.
It is a really fun app and requires no amazing artistic skills so hopefully whatever bugs are being reported of as of now will be fixed asap.
