As stated in the title, Little Throat Doctor - kids game is made just for kids. My youngest loved cleaning out the back of the patients' throats. There were bones, abscesses, and general gunk. She had to use tweezers to get the bones, a needle to drain the abscesses, and a sponge to get the gunk.

It took us a while to figure out how to use the toothpaste, as it seems to be hit and miss for whether it will come out of the tube or not. Fortunately it is a minor inconvenience as the toothpaste isn’t really needed to complete the task.

What frustrates my kids is when the majority of the options are locked. There are a lot of in-app purchases, and my kids keep asking me to unlock them. No: play the game and you will be able to slowly get more people.

Little Throat Doctor - kids game does have cute animations. As you work on the kids, who are the only two unlocked when you first download the free version, they look around the room, wince when you grab the tweezers or syringe, and aside from not screaming, have a realistic look.

I also found it quite funny that the music is a relaxing spa like ambiance. It isn’t elevator music, but a gentle tone.

There are moderate sound effects for the water sprayer, vacuum, and the microscope moving, but other than that, it is a quiet game, which I also appreciate! A lot of kids games have sound effect overload and drive me nuts.

One other thing worth a mention is how this game can help prepare a child for a visit to the dentist or doctor when they have a sore mouth. A lot of people are afraid of the dentist or doctor, and this app helps show kids that it is easy and nothing to be afraid of.
