There have been some issues with the latest update to this app so I would recommend taking a look at the Pros & Cons section below before downloading, but to be honest I’ve had a very positive experience myself so far so I’m pretty happy with it overall.
Receive Smart Recommendations Based On Your Tastes
Google has made a fantastic contribution to the genre of online radio station apps with this nifty development that enables you to compile your own custom radio stations from any song, artist, or album in your music collection.

In addition to creating radio stations you’ll also receive smart recommendations based on your tastes, plus you can even listen to playlists curated by Google’s in-house music experts; a great way of discovering new bands and artists similar to your current tastes.

Add Up To 20,000 Of Your Own Songs
Google Play Music allows you to add up to 20,000 of your own songs from your songs from your PC, Mac, or Linux computer, so over time you should be able to greatly expand your musical repertoire with all of the recommendations that are on offer.

Cons
-
This app has generally been very well received; however, there has been some negative feedback in light of the most recent update: “The newest update requires the "stream when off wifi" to be enabled in order to play downloaded content. Prior to this version one could disable this option and still play downloaded content. Since this acts as a safety net for those not wanting to deal with data charges, the new version does not provide that safety net. Users should be able to play downloaded content while leaving this option disabled so as to protect the user from accidentally playing non-downloaded content. This needs to be fixed ASAP!”

Final Words
Google Play Music doesn’t seem to be without its flaws but hopefully Google will realize that updates are supposed to improve the user-experience rather than detract from it!
Either way, I still like this iPhone and iPad app a lot and would suggest checking it out if you’re looking for a decent radio station utility.
