• This app has generally been very well-received by users on the iTunes description page; however, it does appear as if the automatic timeout is proving to be an issue for some users: “This app is has one major flaw. It's a great app because you have sirius on your phone with the ability to play n pause and download content. The flaw is the inactivity timeout after about 45 minutes. Sirius has in no way addressed this and it's the biggest issue for the app. The app stops playing whatever your listening too and givings a you pop up window with one option of keep listening. It leads to me believe they need an inactivity timeout to control some bandwidth levels of some sort. Sirius is one of the greatest companies because they can say what they want on the air but the fact that their technical and engineering department can't get an app sorted out is sad. I mean this app gets nothing but low reviews and trashed on the internet. Whatever is going on at sirius must just too corporate to even figure something like this out. I hope sirius has their reasons for not putting much effort into listening to the customers bad just keeping the inactivity timeout.”

Final Words

SiriusXM Internet Radio definitely seems to be lacking in certain departments as seen above, but for the casual user I really don’t see it being too difficult to use.

If you want utterly seamless and perfectly presented online radio stations then you might want to look elsewhere, but more realistically I think this iPhone and iPad app is going to be more than sufficient for the vast majority of users.
