This is a pretty niche app so there doesn’t appear to be an overwhelming amount of competition in either the Sports or Weather category from what I’ve seen, but it definitely doesn’t look as if that has prevented the developer from going all out in terms of functionality and appearance.

What we have here is a great little app that you’ll want to keep on your iOS device if you want to ensure the highest success rate when you head out to the beach to surf as it uses your device’s integrated GPS to help you monitor swells, tides, wind conditions, and loads more for your local area.

In addition to being able to see the current conditions for your chosen area you can also access a fairly detailed two-day forecast, which should be perfect for when you’re planning a weekend away by the sea.
