Hill Climb Racing app review
Hill Climb Racing
Price: Free
For: iPhone, iPod touch, iPad with iOS 4.3 or later
Hill Climb Racing by Fingersoft is a physics-based racing app that recently sped onto the iOS app scene and has made it to the #1 spot in one week.
Your job, as Newton Bill, is to endlessly drive a sub-par car up and then down hills, collecting coins and increasing your score. Once you score enough coins, you can upgrade your vehicle or buy a monster truck or a racing car.
You’ll get bonuses when you do tricks, too. The drawback is that you can get hurt and the car can run out of fuel.
Features of the game include eight different stages with multiple levels, a cross-platform design so tablet users as well as iPhone and iPod touch users can enjoy the game, and upgradeable vehicles. The car even gives off a real turbo engine sound when you upgrade.
Upgrades include a new suspension, tires, 4WD, and engine. You can also take a screenshot of your score to share with friends. This is a totally addictive game and we’re sure you and your friends will love it.
The app was updated to Version 1.4.1 on November 26, 2012. The update added two levels and a new vehicle you can buy. There are several in-app purchases ranging from $1.99 to $9.99 for a varying amount of coins. Hill Climb Racing currently has 16416 customer ratings with an average of 4.5 out of five stars. Feedback comments are positive.
