Become a Rap Star
Music has always been a great way for us to express ourselves and while music has changed a lot over the centuries one thing has always remained constant: music is the centerpiece of the social world. Social gatherings and entertainment events almost always feature music in a central role.
The best iPhone apps for hiphop
One of today’s most popular genres is rap, so it was only a matter of time before an app came along that capitalized on the popularity of this medium. RapChat provides an easy-to-use platform for anybody to try their hand at becoming a rapper.
This app is really quite user friendly but it has one glaring flaw in that the instructions are minimal at best. There is a tutorial if you click on settings but it only provides a couple of quick tips.
This app would really benefit from a short demo video. The other thing I didn’t like about this one is the requirement that you log on to Facebook to share your creations. Why can’t you share them on Twitter or by email?
An app like this should provide as many ways to share your creations as possible. This app will require 9.4 MB of free space on your iOS device.
How it Works
RapChat is a simple app to use. On the main menu you’ll see two tabs at the top; on the left is the inbox of raps you’ve previously shared and on the right is a settings tab. In the settings tab you’ll find a Facebook login, a rating tab, a feedback tab, and a tutorial section.
The best iPad apps for music lovers
The rest of the main screen is the heart and soul of the app. There’s a beats tab where you’ll find tons of samples you can choose from as the foundation of your rap, once you’ve made your selection you’re ready to start rapping. To start rapping simply tap on the big microphone icon and start rapping!
If you tap on the flame icon to the right you can save your rap for later, and if you tap on the play button to the left of the microphone you can preview your creation.
One you’re satisfied with your rap you can give it a name and then tap on share to share it with your Facebook friends. The app works very smoothly and best of all there are no ads to get in the way.
