There’s nothing else in the world quite like the magic of Disney. It literally transcends generations; in fact Walt Disney’s creations and vision have been the source and spark of our imaginations since the late 1920s. Of course Disney’s come a long way since the first black and white Mickey Mouse cartoon Steamboat Willie and now you can easily keep up-to-date on everything that’s happening in the Disney universe with the DSNY Digest: Your Disney News Companion app. This app provides comprehensive coverage on everything that’s going on at Disney from its theme parks to the new Star Wars Episode 7 movie so if you love everything about Disney, you’ll find it here. This is a free app and it’s compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
The best iPad apps for Disney world
News apps are quite common in the App Store and they run the range of topics from the serious to the hilarious. These apps may be exclusive apps for major news sites or more likely they’re apps that bring together news from various different sources and this second type of site sums up the DSNY Digest: Your Disney News Companion app pretty well. The developers of this app search the Internet for all the major news stories that are Disney-related and bring them together in one simple app. It’s a lot easier than performing endless and tiring Google searches to find Disney stories one article at a time.
The best podcast apps for iPhone-2021The great thing about this app is that you aren’t bombarded with ads, which is not the norm for news apps which generally rely on advertisements for their source of income. It’s a well-laid-out, easy-to-read app that works about as smoothly as you’re likely to find in a news app. Most articles are fully integrated into the app and open without any lag at all, although some articles do link to further web-based information which does create a little bit of lag when loading. The only real concern with this app is there’s no navigation menu: it’s simply a colourful list of articles that you can scroll through from top to bottom. This app will require 17.8 MB of available space on your iOS device.
When you open the app you’ll see a list of articles layered one on top of the other. Each screen will display about four to five articles, and to move on to the net set of articles you simply swipe from bottom to top and that’s really all there is to it. Its layout works really well though, with each article headline a different color to provide clear distinction between articles and staggered from side to side for separation. Every article also includes a sample graphic and its own icon that represents the article category. If you want to get an idea of what the categories are you’ll have to pay close attention to the App Store description because it’s not really explained in the app itself.
The best TV apps for the iPhone 2020When you open any article it has an interesting graphic as a header and a logo that represents the article category. The articles contain nice large type that is easy to read and includes great companion content such as pictures and videos. When you’re done with an article you simply tap on the back button at the top of the screen to go back to the main menu. If you find an article you’d really like to share with friends and family members you can do this by tapping on the sharing button at the top right-hand side of the screen. It’s a pretty simple app to navigate, but it’s a rich source of Disney information.
