Today’s world is an extremely stressful place. We’re never far removed from the next life crisis, and with our smartphones always available to us, it doesn’t take long for us to find out about every little detail of our daily existence.

Relaxing Meditation

There are certainly other apps in the App Store that are designed to help you de-stress from the everyday complications of your life, but these apps normally include inspirational quotes or soothing background music to relax you; they don’t, as a rule, teach you how to meditate.

Actual meditation techniques have always been accompanied by a little skepticism, and I have to admit until I was introduced to this app I was probably firmly in the category of skeptic. I was pleasantly surprised that this app really works!

After searching for other meditation apps I came away a little disappointed because there simply isn’t much available, which makes OMG. I Can Meditate! even more refreshing.

This app is without a doubt the most comprehensive meditation app available in the App Store. It includes step-by-step instructions as well as videos and recorded narratives.

The other meditation apps in the App Store are generally just written instructions on how to practice meditation, which is a little disappointing. This app will require 80.5 MB of available space on your iOS device.

How it Works

This app has a scenic user interface that puts you in a relaxed mood before you even get started. It features a rocky shore at sunset with the rocks slowly scrolling by.

It definitely puts you in the right frame of mind. When you’re ready to get started you can either tap on the Get Started button at the bottom of the screen, or you can tap on the settings menu in the top left corner of the app.

This will bring up a menu on the left-hand side with a list of available meditation options, as well as a help section. You can try many of the features of the app for free, but full access does require a premium account. Premium access gives you constantly updated content.

A lot of work has been put into the daily meditations. All you have to do is hit play, close your eyes, and listen to the instructions provided by the app's instructor to begin meditating like a pro.  The apps narrator definitely knows her stuff and it won’t take you long to fall in love with this app.

All you need is a nice quiet place away from the everyday noise and you’ll start to reap the benefits that meditation has to offer.

Final Words

If you’re looking for the best meditation app available in the App Store, OMG. I Can Meditate! is a great choice. The only real issue with this app is that it does require a premium membership to access all of the content, but this isn’t unusual for the better apps in the App Store.

If you’ve always wanted to give meditation a try you should definitely add this app to your to-do list.
