This is a great tool for tracking your deals, keeping in touch with your sales team, and making sure you have all the information you need to make a winning pitch to your client. This sales tracking app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch is free to download.
If you perform a quick search in the App Store for CRM (customer relation management) you’ll find all kinds of competing apps for Sellf – Your Personal CRM for Sales and many of them are quite good, but there are some features in this app that help it to stand out from the crowd.
The best business card readers for iPhoneNot least of which is its visual approach to the display of information. Even the best salespeople can gain an edge with the use of visual aids. It’s one thing to have all of the right information in front of you, but it’s another thing entirely to see how it fits into the big picture.
While Sellf – Your Personal CRM for Sales is a great app, there are a couple of issues with it. The first one is that the free app will limit the amount of projects you can work on to 11 – once you’ve used the app for the designated number of projects you’ll have to upgrade to the premium version before you can use the app any further.
What makes this even more disappointing is that upgrading to the premium service is not a one-time thing. The app actually works on a subscription basis, it’s $4.99 if you go on a month by month basis, or $39.99 if you sign up for the year.
So if you’re going to spend money on this app continuously, you’ll want to make sure it’s an effective tool for you before you make any commitment. The Sellf app will require 51.3 MB of available space on your iOS device.
The first time you open the Sellf app you’ll be given a guided tour of how it Works – it’s actually pretty straightforward. Before you start using the app for real though you will have to sign up for an account – you can do this by using your existing Facebook account, or by creating a separate account using your email.
The best iPhone apps for startupsOnce you’re set up and ready to go the app will then walk you through an actual demo of setting up a sales project. I really liked this approach because it takes all of the guesswork out of using the app.
The first thing you’ll be asked to do is to set a goal. You’ll see the app features a series of circles and each circle represents a calendar month.
To set your goals for that month you simply tap on the circle enter your financial goal in the dialog box that appears on the screen and then tap on create new deal which is located underneath the circle.
This will open up a new dialog box where you’re expected to enter all the information about the deal such as a company name, a contact name, a description of the deal, the estimated value of the deal, and its expected completion date.
Once you’ve entered all this information the project will now appear beneath the circle for that month. At any time you can access the Project information by tapping on it. You can always add any notes, to do’s, or events to the project later if you like.
If you’d like to change the status of the project you’ll find a progress bar located on the projects main page – you simply tap on that bar and change the projects status to whatever is appropriate. If you tap one that signifies that the project is complete, then the total is added to your goals for the month.
As you make progress towards completing your goal for the month a green circle will slowly build around the edge of the circle, once both ends of the circle connect you have completed your goals for the month.
