Features include the ability to search for those businesses near you, use the quick links or do a more advanced search, then narrow your search results by price, distance, neighborhood, and business hours.

The reviews are one area Yelp really excels in, as reading reviews from locals in your own community can really help you narrow down your search. You can also help the rest of the Yelp community by adding photos, tips, advice, and reviews of businesses.

You can feel free to share information on Twitter and Facebook so others can learn about your great, or not so great experiences and finds in the local community.

There are some great new features in this latest version including the "First to Tip" honor which goes to users who add the first review of a new business. There's also a new filter to be used with local bars screening Puppy Bowl IX.

Yelp was updated on Jan. 29, 2013 and has 119 customer ratings with an average rating of three and a half out of five stars.

What I really liked is that when you did find a business you were interested in, you could look up its phone number. As well there I found it convenient that I could make reservations on OpenTable without even having to leave the Yelp app.
