Educreations Interactive Whiteboard for iPad by Educreations, Inc. transforms your iPad into a whiteboard that is recordable.

You can use this app in many different way; for example,you can use it to explain a lesson by animating it (a math problem for example), and add commentary to images. The app includes digital ink (with 10 different colors) for a realistic look and feel, voice recording, text and photos, and sharing capabilities through Twitter, Facebook, and email.

You can record your voice to replay alongside drawings and handwriting; you can use photos from your photo album/iPad camera/Internet/Dropbox and add text, drag images around while recording to give it an animated look; you can create multiple whiteboard pages; and you can pause and resume while recording. You can also perform redo and undo functions.

Teachers can really make use of this app as it gives them a way to discuss and explain their lesson in a whole new manner. You can even post the lesson up on the Internet before or after the class begins for students to view. This also works for tutors who don't live close to their students.

This latest version has fixed the iOS 6 address book permissions, made the student sign-up process smoother, and gives students the ability to now create and share lessons.

Educreations Interactive Whiteboard was updated on Dec. 14, 2012 and has 454 customer ratings with an average rating of four and a half out of five stars.

I really enjoyed the many different ways this app can come in handy. It was so easy to use and I can see how it would help explain lessons among other things.
