Splashtop 2 by Splashtop Inc. is an app that gives you access to your Windows or Mac PC directly from your iPad. It’s marked down to an incredible price for a limited time so get it fast!

Splashtop 2 accesses your desktop or laptop via the local network and gives you video streaming, PDF viewing and editing, Microsoft Office Suite, media library access, documents access, and full browser access with Java/Flash support.

If you want to access your desktop from another Internet source, you can subscribe to the app’s Anywhere Access Pack through in-app purchases. One year costs $16.99, or you can pay month-to-month and pay $1.99 per month.

Things you can do with Splashtop 2 include playing any game you have on your computer, listening to music you have on your hard drive, watching any videos , and accessing any files. You can even use

Windows Media Player-only files. The Retina display makes everything brilliantly sharp for a great viewing experience.

Splashtop 2 was updated to Veresion 2.2.0.9 on February 6, 2013. The update allows you to use Windows 8 gestures when you’re connected to a Windows 8 PC and gives you on-screen shortcuts to control media players, allows you to run Splashtop 2 as a back

ground app, fixed some bugs, allows you to copy and paste between your computer and iPad, and more. The current version has a total of 299 customer ratings with an average of 4.5 out of five stars.

I love having access to my computer via my iPad. I have only used it so far over my network at home but am considering subscribing to the Get Anywhere Access Pack so I can work when I’m not at home.
