Transit by Tapone Technology Inc. is a public transportation navigation app for your iOS device.

To use the app, just open your iOS 6 Map app and input a destination, then choose the option where you ask for transit routing directions. The app will tell you everything you need to know about your route, including the names of each stop along your way, the arrival time of your bus, and the number of stops for the bus ride.

If you’re trying to plan a trip for another day or time, you can figure out what time you will need to be at your bus stop in order to catch the correct bus to be at your destination at a certain time. Simply go into the Transit app, set the departure or arrival time for your travels, and it will tell you everything you need to know. You can also set a reminder so the app will let you know when you have to leave for the bus stop so you’re there in time!

You can also copy the route info and paste it into a document or email it to family or friends who may be going with or meeting you.

You can use this app to: get transit info for the train, bus, ferry, or subway; do address or local businesses searches; email your route info to friends or family so they know where you are or will be; and search an address or location and then figure out the best way to get there using public transportation.

Transit was updated to Version 1.4.1 on January 17, 2013. The update made some bug fixes, added new features, and more. The current version has 90 customer ratings with an average of 4.5 out of five stars.

I live in a large city and use public transportation on an almost-daily basis. Instead of going to the city bus website and having to search through their routes and maps, I can now use this app to plan my trips. It’s a fabulous app and I love how it’s integrated with my Maps app.
