A&E for iPad by A&E Television Networks Mobile is an app that allows you to watch all of your favorite A&E network shows in addition to clips and scenes never before seen on television.

This app is completely free; however, Comcast and DIRECTV subscribers are able to login for access to extra content.

The A&E app provides access to some fantastic shows such as American Hoggers, Be The Boss, Bordertown: Laredo, Cajun Justice, Crime 360, Duck Dynasty, and Mindfreak.

In addition to these great shows, this app enables you to create customized playlists, and also supports iCloud syncing, so you can view all of your favorite episodes on all of your iOS devices.

A&E for iPad was updated to version 1.1 in mid-February of 2013. The current version has a total of 54 customer ratings with an average rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Future updates are expected to introduce more TV providers.

Every once in a while an app comes along that has me glued to my iPad, this is one such app. I have been spending too many nights recently, in bed, with my iPad wedged up beside me, watching shows through the A&E app.
