ZocDoc by by ZocDoc makes booking a doctor appointment easy and quick.

There are just three quick steps involved in booking a doctor appointment. After launching the app simply key in your zip code and insurance information, then you'll be given a list of doctors and their available times, you can click to book an appointment.

The app has gained recent popularity and has even been mentioned in the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and on CNN.

The latest version has now added a password reset function, made the process of creating an account faster and easier, addressed the time zone bug that had been plaguing the calendar, and a number of other bugs were fixed. This has resulted in faster-than-ever speeds.

When you launch the app you'll be able to find either a dentist or a doctor and search by location, specialty, date, and insurance information. You can also view and manage all your upcoming appointments.

When it comes to searching for a doctor you're actually able to reach each doctor's profile, see the address where they practice from, and even view and read reviews from other patients.

ZocDoc was updated on Jan. 31, 2013 and currently has 57 customer ratings with an average rating of four and a half out of five stars.

I think one of the most useful, if not the most useful feature of the app is helping you located a doctor. I really liked that you could read each doctor’s profile as well and even read patient comments on that particular doctor.
