Minute Taker by madeFM is an app that lets you take down and share your minute meetings as a PDF file, all on your iPad.
The app allows you to create workbooks for projects or recurring meetings, and gather the minutes for all of those meetings. This will give you a complete view of all the discussions, decisions, and results of all meetings.
The multi-column layout lets you search multiple meetings’ minutes all at once.
You can assign a project to a certain person, assign a due date for that person to complete the task, and track all the open, completed, and overdue assignments involved with your project. You can put action items into categories using tags, then take a photo of whiteboards, flipboards, or other notes, and place them into the appropriate categories. You can also attach photos and other documents from Dropbox or your media library.
To create minutes of a meeting, you can use a wireless Bluetooth keyboard or display keyboard. You can use landscape or portrait view. You can search, sort, and filter existing minutes, and use the “Undo” function on last changes. You can also easily export minutes as MinuteTake raw files or PDF files, or save to Dropbox or iTunes. You can also send via email, print using a wireless printer, and create to-dos from action items.
MinuteTaker was updated to Version 1.1.4 on February 21, 2013. The update added a variety of options and made some fixes. The app is available in English and German and has a total of 27 customer ratings with an average of four out of five stars. Feedback comments are positive, for the most part.
I really love how this app works. Like another user, I find the fact that you can’t adjust font size to be really irritating and it would greatly improve the quality of the experience if you could do so. Otherwise, though, the app is great and I’m sure that anyone who requires meeting minutes will find great value in it.
For: iPad with iOS 5.1 or later
