Countdown+ Event Reminders Lite by Apps Beyond gives you a simple way to countdown to all your much-anticipated events.

Sometime it's hard to keep all your upcoming events organized so why put that pressure on yourself? This app is intended to be used almost as a personal assistant who will remind you of all your upcoming events so you are always organized, prepared, and never end up missing one.

You can use this app to countdown to anything - birthdays, anniversaries, a holiday, wedding, retirement, graduation, summer holidays, Christmas, whatever you like. You can countdown to events in Facebook and your Calendar as well.

This is meant to be a full-feature countdown and reminder application that will give you notifications as frequently as you want. You can even program it so that notifications become more frequent as the event gets closer. It's all up to you.

Features include being able to track an unlimited number of reminders and events, sort your countdowns by date, set reminders and leave them, and use a timer complete with custom labels and presets. You can auto import profile pictures of your friends to your countdown background or customize the background with a photo from your album, camera, or one of the ones the app comes with.

You'll have the ability to choose what the time units are for your countdown (year, months, weeks, day, hours, minutes, and seconds are available). Choose from a variety of alert and alarm sounds for your reminders.

I found this app wonderfully useful and I was quite impressed with the amount of features included in the “Lite” version.
