Star Rover app review
Star Rover
Price: $0.99
Star Rover by EEFan Inc. helps you explore the stars overhead by telling you what it is that you can see.
Like most people it’s quite likely that you have looked up into the night sky and wondered what was up there. With Star Rover you no longer have to guess; simply open the Star Rover app and point your device at the sky and Star Rover will tell you exactly what is there.
There are millions of stars in the night sky and all you have to do to see them is get out into the country where there is very little light pollution from the big cities. Once you are out there you can use Star Rover to identify more than 120, 000 Hipparcos stars and more than 80 constellations. You can also find moons, planets, and nebulae using Star Rover.
Also included is a moon phase calendar and eclipse simulator to show you the various stages of an eclipse. You can also use the app to show you what is below the horizon and beyond. You truly get a full view of everything that is over your head, even objects such as satellites and the space station.
Star Rover was last updated to Version 3.0.2 on March 28, 2013 and included some minor bug fixes. There have been 12 ratings for the current version with an average score of five out of five stars.
I really enjoyed using this app, it is full of neat features and provides a really cool look at the night sky.
