Prognosis: Your Diagnosis by Medical Joyworks lets you step into the shoes of a medical doctor and diagnosis patients.

This iPad game is meant to get your brain working as you investigate a problem, put the pieces together, and then diagnose these rather complex clinical cases. By the way, this is all done within minutes with the cartoon-style narration and interactive features.

Sure you could go to medical school or you could pretend and see if maybe you’ve perhaps missed your calling in life. While anyone can play the game it was actually designed for medical students but now nurses and doctors are catching on to the fun. The thing is while it is fun it's also educational giving users a chance to learn a little something as well.

These cases are actually designed to prepare users for COMLEX, USMLE Step 2 CS, NCLEX, MCAT, and CCRN exams. As well it can prepare you for professionally licensure tests and board examinations all while having fun.

Everything you'll find in the app is based on real-life patients so there is no make-believe information. Each week a new case is added and you'll be alerted of the new one by a badge over the icon.

Prognosis: Your Diagnosis was updated on Dec. 14, 2012 and currently has 168 customer ratings with an average rating of four and a half out of five stars.

Although I'm not in the medical field I thought this was a really fun approach to learning. The app felt stylish, modern, and fun and I can imagine that users would almost forget they're learning while playing.
