Jamn by MiQ Limited is your helping hand in learning to play music.

Learning to play music is a lifelong process but you do have to start somewhere. A useful tool like this app is always a welcome benefit to anyone just starting out. Jamn is a super simple teaching platform that provides a visual reference with a simple interface that makes learning easy.

The intuitive wheel is the key to making learning simple. It can display all major and minor keys, notes, chords, scales, and more giving you a simple visual reference to all of the material you are working with. You can also choose different instruments that will be displayed at the top of the screen. Simply swipe left and right to select a different instrument view.

In the menus you will find useful tools such as an “inKey” chord finder, scales, settings, and other tools for changing the layout and such. You can also find videos on different topics of interest and using the app.

Jamn was last updated to Version 2.0 on March 20, 2013 and included the eHands function and more than 150 new chords added. There have been 355 ratings for this app with an average score of 3.5 out of five stars.

This app has a whole a new approach to learning chords and timing. I enjoyed the experience and think that it would be beneficial for anyone getting started with a new instrument.
