THE Football App by motain GmbH & Co. KG is a sports app that has been featured in a number of well-known publications thanks to its offerings. In fact this app is one of the most downloaded apps in all of Europe in terms of football.

The app was created for football fans to keep them up-to-date on over 60 international footballs leagues and competitions. There is no need to sit at home in front of the TV to catch the action if you've got this app on your mobile device.

It was updated on June 6, 2013 and is currently available in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.

 

User Experience
Even though you're given a wealth of information here the app stays surprisingly clean and simple to use. You'll be able to scroll through the menus and features with ease and speed as you look for the items that interest you.

You'll be able to read about the tactical line-ups, up to 100 news items per day, live commentaries, videos from around the world, and push notifications for up to 10 teams that you are following.

The app has ads in the free version; if you wish to get rid of the banner you can through an in-app purchase. This is available for $3.99.

 

Update Info
In the most recent version of the app, which is 5.3, the app went universal so now it supports the iPad and iPhone.

I had to agree with the users that this is a great way to quickly find all the latest news, statistics, and information regarding all things football. Instead of wasting your time searching around on the Internet you could simply launch the app and be updated within minutes. I really liked that there was live features, videos, and commentary so it was more than just reading breaking news. The fact that you could receive push notifications for up to 10 teams was also incredibly useful. When viewing statistics and scores I found the information to be well laid-out and easy to read.
