US Holidays app review: always know where the holidays fall

Introduction

US Holidays by Joules Media B.V. is a productivity app that gives you a look at all the US holidays on your calendar. There is no need to guess when each one fallsl instead, take a quick look at this calendar. There are also free automatic updates so you always stay up-to-date. The app was updated on March 1, 2013 and is available in English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.

User Experience

The moment you launch this app you'll be amazed at how much information is found within. This is so much more than just giving you the US Federal and State holidays. The app is extremely easy to use with menus that clearly lay out the contents. You can add, edit, and delete events quickly and you don't even need an Internet connection after you add the events.

Features

With this app you'll be able to see all the holidays along with other important dates like Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentine's Day, Halloween, and more. There is also the listing of Religious days for Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, Islamic, Jain, and Sikh faiths.

The premium calendars available include moon phases, stock exchanges, worldwide holidays, and weather calendars. You can even get NASCAR, MotoGP, and F1 calendars so you never miss an important race. The app allows you to add, edit, and delete events all of which can be done to the calendar of your choice whether it be your work or home calendar.

The app integrates with Easy Calendar, miCal, Calvetica, and Week Calendar. By default it will integrate with your device's calendar. You'll find it quick and easy to switch between default calendars and you can sync your events with Outlook, iCal, Gcal, and more.

There are a number of in-app purchases available that give you a variety of calendars. Each purchase is priced at $0.99.

There is plenty of information and features packed into this handy calendar app. I really liked being able to look ahead at the State and Federal holidays so I could plan my time; the fact that other important events/dates were included was helpful. The integration features were great making this more user-friendly and versatile. I found the user interface to be very basic and uncluttered, which worked to its advantage and added to the ease of use.
