Introduction

Stock Market Pro by Lifelike Apps, Inc is a great new finance app meant to give you an easy way to track all of your stocks. It was released in early July 2013 and requires 3.8MB of storage space on your iPad.

This iPad trading app is currently sitting at #17 on the iTunes Top 100 chart in the Finance category.

User Experience

This app is super easy to use. When you first launch the app, you’ll see a selection of four default stocks: Dow Jones, NASDAQ, S&P 500, and Apple. You’ll see tabs to show the Day Values as well as Gains/Losses. Directly above that you have the button Portfolios, where you can create portfolios to track.

The Settings icon gives you the option to adjust the auto-lock feature, you can rate the app, or you can get online help. There’s also an accuracy disclaimer in this window.

When you click on a particular stock, the right side of your screen will show you all of the daily values, including a graph. Directly below the graph, you will be presented with links to news articles covering that topic.

You do need an Internet connection for this app to work.

As mentioned, this app is really easy to set up and use. The intuitive user interface is well-done and takes advantage of the Retina display. Stock information updates immediately, the chart view is great for visualizing changes over time, and the news links are really handy to have.

Anyone who tracks stocks should get this app.
