The best budgeting apps for iPhone and iPad

This is a really basic, user-friendly, intuitive money tracking app. If you’ve been searching for one to try out, give this one a go. Having said that, I was almost immediately put off by one of the “comments” that appeared after I made my first entry: “You are a clever man. Next time it will be tougher!”
Best iphone and ipad apps
Really? The gender assumption is really off-putting and the further assumption that entering a simple number into an app is “tougher” seems kind of insulting. But okay, I’ll ignore that part…
It’s a really easy app to use. It takes just a few seconds to add income or expenditure, and you can have the entire app passcode-protected if you like. It’s easy to label your expenditures like Car, Travel, Food & Drink, Family & Personal, Bills, and more.
This way you can keep track of your spending at a glance. If you’d rather, you can click on the Advanced button and add more details like if the item repeats, if you need a reminder to pay, or if you want to leave a note for more information.
Unfortunately the income portion isn’t as detailed; you only get Business, Gifts, and Extra Income to choose as categories. It would be nice if you could add, perhaps, “bank balance” or “paypal balance” to the list, or create your own custom categories. You’re also able to add information like repetitions, reminders, and notes for income.
If you need to change the date the expenditure or income occurred, just click on the Today button and you can change it to any day you like; the default date is today. This is great for those times when you forgot to make an entry.
One of the cool features the app offers is the ability to take a photo of a bill or invoice to add to the database.
To save a bit of time, on your transaction screen, swipe across to see options like delete, change, and repeat.

Final Tally
I’m pretty impressed with this app. I love how easy it is to add entries, but would like to see customizable categories for the Income portion. I also like that you can turn the device to landscape mode to get a better view of the graphs.
The interface is really simple and you can get going right from the beginning with no tutorial needed. Overall, this is a fantastic app that I’d recommend to anyone looking to keep track of spending.
