This app detects faces with a surprisingly high degree of accuracy, and you can easily rotate and resize faces to match them up to the heads of other people. Face Changer Free will provide you with loads of fun and you can share your creations on social networking sites from within the app.

There are a fair few face swapper apps available now and Face Changer Free is definitely a worthy contender.

Starting up the app, you begin at a menu with three options which are a little confusing initially because there are just three icons and no text. The icons are, however, quite self-explanatory; tapping the camera enables you to snap a picture from within the app while tapping the mountain lets you import photos from your Camera Roll.

Once you have a picture ready, you simply tap the ‘Swap’ button and let the app do its magic.

I’ve noticed that the immediate swapping is pretty accurate, but you will need to rotate and resize the faces to make sure everything matches up seamlessly. This is understandable and I wouldn’t expect the app to be able to instantly recognizes faces and match them up with 100% accuracy.

There are quite a few pop-up ads which come up maybe every minute or so but Face Changer Free runs very smoothly so the ads hardly slow you down at all.

Once your Frankenstein’s Monster of faces is complete, tapping the icon in the bottom right-hand corner will bring up a list of options, enabling you to share your work of art – or abomination! – with friends and family via Facebook, Twitter, or email.

Alternatively, you can print your image or just save it to your Camera Roll for future use.

Don't Lose Your Head

This app took me almost twice as long as usual to review because I’ve been so distracted playing around with it!

I’ve always been a real sucker for meme generators and apps like this because they’re so well-suited to Facebook and you can create some hilarious results in no time at all.

What can I say? Some people just have faces that are ripe for messing around with!

As I mentioned, the features as a whole can be a little confusing at first but if you get stuck you can tap the cog icon in the top right hand corner for a brief explanation of how to manipulate each face. There is a lot of fun to be had with this app so I’d definitely recommend it to anyone; just don’t blame me if you end up wasting all of your time making silly pictures!
