Flipboard Updates App To Include iPhone Support
Flipboard released an iPad app on July 21, 2010 but an iPhone version has been sorely missing its lineup until today. Flipboard has updated its app to make it universal, meaning it is now optimized for use on both iPad and iPhone.
Flipboard version 1.7 includes the following features:
- ★ New iPhone edition puts the power of Flipboard in your pocket.
- ★ Cover Stories for iPhone, a selection of interesting articles and photos being shared with you right now. And it gets smarter every time you use it. (Coming soon to iPad.)
- ★ Speed. Flip through pages as you would through a printed magazine, all with the flick of a thumb.
- ★ Flipboard Accounts:
- - Sign into your Flipboard from either iPhone or iPad and get instant access to all your favorite content.
- - Check out All Timelines. Flip through a single feed containing all articles and all photos being shared across all your social networks.
Interestingly, a new feature, Cover Stories, is available for use on the iPhone but not iPad. You would think the opposite would be true or, better yet, available on both iOS devices. Cover Stories presents articles Flipboard believes are of interest to you and is self-learning.
