Animal Sounds app review: a library full of fun and amusing sounds

Introduction

This app is all about entertaining yourself and others with hilarious sounds that range from animals to transportation to everyday sounds. In the free version (the lite one), you’re given 15 sounds to play with.

Sounds Galore

So this app doesn’t perform a task, isn’t for education purposes, isn’t a game, but man is it entertaining! The app is very simple to use simply launch it and you will instantly see the symbols of the 15 sounds you have access to. Tap on each one to listen to them.

As mentioned this is the free/lite version of the app so if you want full access to the app you’ll need to make the purchase. By doing this you’ll have access to a huge selection of sounds for $1.99. It just depends how serious you are about your sounds and whether or not this upgrade is a “must-have.”

 

The Sound Quality

We know the app is simple to use and that the user interface is clean and minimalistic but what about the quality of the sounds? I played all 15 sounds to give them a try and I’d have to say the majority are quite good. The animal sounds were especially impressive. Now of course there are some sounds that sound simulated so you have to take the good with the bad I’m afraid.

It seems as though some people had issues with the volume of the sounds and them not being loud enough. I certainly didn’t encounter that problem in this latest version the sounds were all loud, crisp, and clear. This app is actually a pretty popular download despite some negative reviews you may come across.

The lite version is supported by ads so you’ll need to contend with that as well as reminders that you can purchase the full version to get all the features. If you choose to purchase the full version you can do so from within the app.

Some of the sounds you’ll have access to in the free version include: cat, cow, cicada, frog, wolf, jaguar, hen, owl, turkey, cash register, whip, cell phone ring, gun fire, car, jingle bells, fire truck, and more.

Should you Download It?

I got a kick out of this app sure, and it was super easy to use but would I recommend downloading it? I think despite the fact it’s free there are still better sound apps out there. I mean you only get 15 sounds to play with, which really isn’t much.
