This is a very nicely presented weather forecasting app which uses a slightly different interface style to many other apps of this kind, providing you with a fresh new way of catching up with the latest weather conditions for your local town or city.

Regardless of where you are, I think that this is almost certainly one of the better weather apps in the App Store and I’d definitely recommend checking it out to see what you think.

It has largely been designed for New Orleans residents but the features will be very handy to everyone, so be sure to give it a spin.

The thing I found most striking about this app upon first starting it up is how different the interface is to other weather forecasting apps.

I actually much prefer the layout of WWL-TV Weather as it contains links to all of the main features in a grid format, rather than presenting you with an overly detailed map by default, which is something I think can be a little overwhelming for some users.

As you would expect, all of the usual weather forecasting details are in here, containing reports on high and low temperatures, wind speed and direction, humidity, precipitation, and general overviews so that you can catch an at-a-glance view of the current weather conditions.

 

Fantastic Forecasting

Forecasts are available on a seven-day time frame so you can easily plan the coming week, and if you want a little more information you can visit the Detailed section to access extensive written descriptions of what kind of conditions you can expect.

Best iphone and ipad apps

Radar map imagery is available in WWL-TV Weather and you’ll also want to visit the Hurricane section as this will keep you up to speed on any impending storms, cyclones, and other nasty weather fronts which may hit your area.

All in all, this is an awesome weather forecasting app with a massive amount of content, a great deal of detail, and an interface which I think provides a very welcome break from the rather formulaic approach that is often taken when it comes to apps within this genre.
